2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Jeep Grand Cherokee Jeep Grand Cherokee

This year, the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee is largely a carryover from last year's model. The biggest change is that the optional diesel engine from 2019 is no longer available. It still features plenty of power with its lineup of V8 engines, superb off-road performance, great towing capacity, and all the comfort, luxury, and technology features you could want.

It comes in seven different trim levels for plenty of customization. These include the Laredo, the Limited, the Trailhawk, the Overland, the Summit, the SRT, and the Trackhawk. Most are rear-wheel drive by default with 4-wheel drive available. However, the Trailhawk is only available with 4-wheel drive, and the SRT and Trackhawk come standard with specialized all-wheel drive.

Grand Cherokee Performance Specs

Jeep Grand Cherokee Performance SpecsThe base-level engine on the Jeep Grand Cherokee is a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 that generates 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Other available engines include a 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine that puts out 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque.

At the SRT level, you’ll get a 6.4-liter SRT® V8 engine that produces 475 horsepower with 470 lb-ft of torque. Finally, the Trackhawk offers a Supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that delivers a whopping 707 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque—the best in class for power and performance.

Towing specs are equally impressive. Even at the base level, the Grand Cherokee is rated to tow up to 6,200 pounds. Opt for any of the V8 engines, and you'll increase your towing capacity to up to 7,200 pounds when properly equipped.
