Power and Off-Road Capability

The Ram 2500 has two powerful engine options to choose from. The standard engine is a 6.4L HEMI^® V8 engine with 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. If you’re looking for more torque, the available 6.7L Cummins^® Turbo Diesel I6 engine generates a whopping 850 lb-ft of torque and 370 horsepower.

For smooth drives, whether you’re on or off the beaten path, the Ram 2500 has Bilstein^® Gas-Charged Monotube Shocks. These shocks even help with keeping your tires on the road. To help all four wheels receive equal torque, you can opt for front and rear electronic locking differentials.

You’ll also have the choice of 4x2 or 4x4 capability, depending on how you plan to use the Ram 2500. A 4x4 drivetrain is great for those who will spend more time off-roading.

Towing and Payload Capacity

With a truck like the Ram 2500, there’s plenty of power to tow whatever you need. The Ram 2500 has a maximum towing capacity of 20,000 pounds when properly equipped. Construction equipment, boats, and multi-horse trailers are all possible to tow with the Ram 2500.

Technology Features

The Ram 2500 is full of technological features to keep you connected, make towing easier, and overall improve your drive.

Like many vehicles on the road today, the Ram 2500 has a standard infotainment system. The standard Uconnect^® 3 system lets you stream music and make phone calls when you’re on the go. This system is upgradable, too, to the available Uconnect^® 5 Nav with a 12-inch touchscreen and in-vehicle navigation.

When it comes to towing, the Ram 2500 has plenty of technology, including the digital rearview mirror with tow mode. This feature has a live-feed display from a trailer camera connected to your truck, so you can see the view behind your trailer.
