Ram 1500 vs Ford F-150: Standard Performance

Trucks are all about raw performance and nowhere is that more evident than in the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. Even in the base trims of these trucks, you’ll find exceptional power under the hood that’s ideal for towing cargo and giving you some great off-road oomph.

The Ram 1500 is designed with a standard 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine with eTorque. This powertrain can really get you moving with up to 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. All this translates to a truck that’s an absolute blast to drive both on and off the road.

Unfortunately, the Ford F-150 isn’t quite as powerful in the base trims with a standard 3.3L V6 engine. This powertrain isn’t as strong and produces only 290 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. If you really want to enjoy as much acceleration as possible, you’re going to want to go with the Ram 1500.
