Performance

The 2018 Jeep Cherokee featured two high-powered engines in its powertrain lineup including a standard 2.4-L Tigershark® MultiAir® 4-cylinder engine and an optional 3.2-L Pentastar® V6 engine. With the 2019 redesign, the Cherokee gains one additional engine option.

This new available 2.0-L Turbo engine delivers an incredible 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. This much power gives you a 4,000 pound towing capacity with the Cherokee when its properly equipped.

However, you won’t just get power with this engine. The available 2.0-L turbo engine, which comes paired with a standard 9-speed automatic transmission, also get respectable efficiency with its EPA-estimated 23 city / 31 highway MPG¹.

Technology

The 2019 Jeep Cherokee’s redesign doesn’t just include upgrades under the hood. Inside this model, you’ll find that a few of the 2018 Cherokee’s premium entertainment features have been standardized in the redesign.

The Cherokee now comes standardly equipped with a 7-inch Uconnect® infotainment system, which bundles several smart features. You’ll enjoy convenient voice command recognition via Siri® technology, Bluetooth® wireless connectability, and standard smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.

In the redesigned 2019 Cherokee configurations, you can still upgrade this infotainment system to include even more features like a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen and Uconnect® 4C Navigation.

Convenience

On top of being powerful, efficient, and tech savvy, the 2019 Jeep Cherokee is also designed to make every drive as convenient as possible. With the redesign, you’ll still have several popular convenience features to choose from including Keyless Enter ‘n Go™ and Remote Vehicle Start.

However, you’ll also have another feature available to you that will turn packing your vehicle into a cake walk. The available hands-free power liftgate allows you to access the cargo space of your Cherokee without lifting a finger. If your hands are full of stuff, all you have to do is swipe your foot under the rear bumper and the liftgate will rise on its own.

The Cherokee doesn’t stop there, though. This model offers several other helpful automatic features including available Automatic Headlamps. These smart headlamps monitor your environment’s ambient light levels and automatically turns on the headlamps when they sense these levels are too low.
